Catching Up -- Kinda

Out of excuses for not keeping up with the blog. So I'll just write.

Gun season & muzzleloader has come and gone. I actually managed to take a 4-pointer during gun season (post on that later, trust me). It yielded 50 lbs of meat. Had a very small doe in my scope during muzzleloader while hunting that tract of private land, but it barely reached my waist and it cost 65 bucks to process whether it weighs 40lbs or 250lbs. So I let it walk.

New York has opened up a special season this year in parts of Tompkins County. It starts Jan 12th. I have reserved my favorite spot at Cornell Plantations for the first two days. Hoping to get two more deer.

That's it. I'm really just writing this to get back in the habit of writing in the blog.
